We Know Jackson is a three-piece pop/rock band from West Michigan. Matt performed with the rest of the Season Eight American Idols in the American Idols Live Tour, running from July until September 2009. His Idol run ended on a high-note with Simon Cowell raving about his rendition of “My Funny Valentine.” After the elimination, Giraud made appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Access Hollywood, and The Today Show. Giraud was also the first and only recipient of the new judges’ save for his season. This singer, songwriter and musician impressed the judges early on with Randy Jackson naming him among his “top 5” early favorites. Kalamazoo native and Western Michigan University graduate, Giraud took fifth place in the eighth season of American Idol.
